Just 900 metres from the hotel, Praia da Luz is a jewel. Meia Praia or São Roque - this broad expanse of sand stretches for 4 km and offers all kinds of facilities for those who enjoy water sports. Batata, Estudantes, Canavial, Pinhão, Dona Ana and Camilo - Sandy coves tucked between brightly coloured cliffs, these beaches include some interesting rock formations. Calm and clear water. Many believe these to be the most delightful beaches in the Algarve. Canavial and Porto de Mós- Long beaches between cliffs.

Autodrómo Internacional do Algarve

10 minutes by car from Vila Valverde to Autodrómo, by highway (A22).


A spectacular OCEANOGRAPHIC PARK PACKED WITH EDUCATIONAL ENTERTAINMENT located in Guia, near Albufeira. Just 2 kms from the hotel enjoy the magnificent golf course of Boavista. Designed by Howard Swan, the course has been successfully integrated into the existing natural terrain; his use of these features makes Boavista a delight to the eye. Palmares and Parque da Floresta are 2 other options just 10 min way.


Fun-filled hours, romantic moments, the flavours of Lagos/Algarve cooking, dancing the night away at a night-club, the sounds of street musicians, enjoying a drink in a friendly bar with live music - all these are sensations which the visitor will take home.


Wander amongst the charming townhouses, clustered on the hillside, discover the wealth of little churches and stop for a refreshing break at the nearby Monchique Spa.


In this fishermen's town, a visit to the main church (Igreja Mãe) and the Town Hall is a must. Just outside the town, you cannot miss the bustling Praia da Rocha, but do not forgo the lesser-known Roman ruins of Abicada.

Sagres e Cabo de S. Vicente

Cape St Vincent across the bay from Sagres, was sacred to the Romans, who called it Promontorium Sacrum and believed the sun sank hissing into the water beyond here every night. It became a Christian shrine when the relics of the martyred St Vincent arrived in the 18th century. It was almost certainly here that Henry the Navigator established his School of Navigation, founded a small town and built this Vila do Infante. The lighthouse is the most powerful in Europe; it is located 6 km from Sagres and a wonderful spot for birdlife. It is the most southerly western point of European continent.

Entertainment park in Algoz with mini-golf (Krazy Golf & Jungle Golf), petting-farm, pony rides, fun fair, swimming pool, restaurant and “Amazonian” park with crocodiles, snakes, turtles, lizards, mammals and birds. When weather permits, live shows are given with the reptiles.
